Axiom Space and Ghana Space Institute Partner to Advance Space Exploration

Axiom Space, a leader in commercial space infrastructure, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI) to enhance Ghana’s space ecosystem and expand global access to space. This strategic partnership supports Ghana’s newly adopted national space policy and aims to position the country as a key player in the global space industry.

The agreement focuses on fostering innovation, advancing space science and technology, and developing a skilled workforce. Through the collaboration, GSSTI will benefit from Axiom Space’s expertise in human spaceflight and cutting-edge space technologies to drive its long-term vision and initiatives.


Dr. Joseph Bremang Tandoh, Director of GSSTI, highlighted the partnership’s significance, stating, "This collaboration opens new frontiers for innovation and research, enhancing Ghana’s presence in the global space industry."


Tejpaul Bhatia, Chief Revenue Officer at Axiom Space, praised Ghana’s commitment to space exploration, emphasizing the transformative potential of the partnership. "Ghana’s dedication to space exploration is truly inspiring, and the adoption of a national space policy marks a major step forward. By combining Axiom Space’s capabilities with Ghana’s growing space ambitions, we are paving the way for groundbreaking opportunities in space exploration and innovation," Bhatia said.


The MoU marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s space journey, as the two organizations plan to collaborate on future space missions, scientific research, and technological development. The partnership also aims to foster economic growth and promote STEM education, further integrating Ghana into the global space community.
