Vakifbank women's volleyball team wins Italian counter Imoco 3-2 in Champions League
Turkish women's volleyball team Vakifbank advanced to the final of the CEV Champions League for the seventh time on Saturday, after beating the Italian team Imoco.
The Vakif team led the game 1-0 by scoring 25-22 in the first round and maintained its lead 2-0 by 25-21 in the second set.
The last two sets were won by the Italian team Imoco, when it scored 25-17 and 25-15, bringing the game score to 2-2.
In the final tie breaking game, Vakif team again took the lead from Imoco and won 3-2.
Vakifbank team has now advanced to the final which will be played on May 6 against the winner of CSM Volei Alba vs Galatasaray match, in the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
The Turkish team has won the Champions League in 2011, 2013 and 2017.
