Brazilian defender scores 3 goals so far in seven games in Turkish league, already matching his 2011/2012 total for Porto
Galatasaray's Brazilian defender Maicon Pereira Roque has netted three goals in seven matches in Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig so far, equalizing his career-best in a season.
The 29-year-old central defender scored a brace on Saturday evening to give his team crucial three points against Karabukspor and managed to increase his goal total to three in seven games.
Maicon, who also scored against Osmanlispor in a league match that ended 3-1 in favor of Galatasaray, was only able to score three goals in 2011/2012 season when he played in 20 matches for Portuguese club Porto.
Therefore, every subsequent goal that Maicon will score in the young season will be a career-best for him.
Brazilian defender scored a total of 16 goals for three of four teams in his career. He scored seven goals for Porto in 11 seasons and two goals for Sao Paulo.
Galatasaray currently lead the league with 19 points in seven matches.
