Turkish basketball powerhouse Anadolu Efes beat Spain’s Valencia Basket 83-78 late Friday in a third round match of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Anadolu Efes’ Serbian guard Vasilije Micic was the key player for the Istanbul team as he scored 15 points and produced 12 assists in Valencia.
Anadolu Efes forward Krunoslav Simon was his team’s top scorer with 19 points.
Another Anadolu Efes forward, Alec Peters, produced 15 points.
The Turkish team’s U.S. star Shane Larkin tallied 13 points and four steals against Valencia Basket.
Meanwhile, Valencia’s Montenegrin center Bojan Dubljevic scored 22 points and had seven rebounds.
Its Belgian guard, Sam Van Rossom, produced 14 points and five assists.
Former Anadolu Efes forward Brock Motum from Australia scored 11 points for Valencia Basket.
But the Spanish team couldn’t avoid the home loss to Anadolu Efes.
Anadolu Efes has two wins and one loss this season in the EuroLeague.
They will face Real Madrid in the next fixture in Istanbul on Oct. 24.
