The diplomat reiterated U.S. support for Kuwaiti efforts to mediate a solution to Gulf crisis
U.S. ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence R. Silverman on Sunday called for a "fair" solution to the Gulf crisis.
In a statement, the diplomat reiterated the U.S. support for Kuwaiti efforts to mediate a solution to the crisis.
He called on all parties involved in the crisis to practice self-restraint with a view to reaching a fair solution to the crisis.
Last month, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain abruptly cut diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism.
They also imposed a land, sea, and air blockade on the Gulf country.
The Qatari government strongly rejected the accusations and stressed that the blockade was in violation of international law.
