They were convicted for having links to Fetullah Terror Group that orchestrated defeated coup of July 15, 2016
A Turkish court on Monday ordered release of two convicted members of Fetullah Terror Group (FETÖ) under judicial control.
Nazli Ilicak -- who was sentenced to eight years and nine months -- and Ahmet Altan, who had got 10 years and six months in prison for aiding the terror group, were released under judicial control.
Meanwhile, Mehmet Altan was acquitted of charges.
FETÖ and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which martyred 251 people and injured nearly 2,200 others.
Ankara accuses FETÖ of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.
