Turkish ambassador to Uganda Fatih Ak has reiterated Ankara's keenness to supporting Uganda's public education sector.
The envoy was speaking Friday in Western Uganda at a nursing school where Türkiye's state aid agency TIKA distributed computers and scanning machines among other learning materials to students.
“This project in Ntungamo is unique because we are contributing to the Ugandan authorities' efforts to improve the quality of life for students with disabilities in the region. Taking this opportunity, let me underline that Uganda can count on the continued support of Türkiye in many fields,” he said.
"We will continue to support Uganda's development agenda,” he added.
According to Omer Aykon, TIKA country coordinator for Uganda, the computers will support teachers and administrators to continue working with students, updating lesson content, innovating teaching methods, and monitoring learning progress.
