'Turkish soldiers conduct operations in accordance with international laws'

Turkish soldiers conduct their operations in accordance with international laws and under the watchful eye of the international community, Türkiye’s National Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

Rejecting accusations of violating international laws, the ministry said in a statement: “Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces, born from the heart of our true nation, are wholeheartedly dedicated to combatting all terrorist organizations in order to contribute to our country's peace and security, as well as to the peace and stability of our region and the entire world.”

The statement further said that individuals who do not address “the cruel assaults” by terrorist groups make efforts to discredit Türkiye’s courageous military by endorsing “baseless lies” spread by the “terrorists on various matters.”

“Those who spread these false accusations and those who become complicit in them are, at the very least, deeply misguided,” the ministry added.

The statement concluded that Turkish soldiers will continue their battle against terrorist organizations with unwavering determination and commitment, guided by “international law, Türkiye’s national and spiritual values, and humanitarian principles.”
