Davutoğlu visited site of terrorist attack which killed 10 foreign tourist at Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu left a bouquet of carnations at Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square, the scene of a suicide bombing which killed 10 foreign tourists.
Davutoğlu went to Sultanahmet accompanied by his wife and German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere.
After leaving flowers at the place where the bombing occurred, the Turkish PM visited the wounded under medical treatment at Istanbul Education and Research Hospital. Three Germans and a Norwegian were staying at the hospital PM visited.
Turkish Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu and Interior Minister Efkan Ala along with Sare Davutoğlu accompanied the PM on his visit.
Eleven people are still hospitalized after the suicide attack in Istanbul.
Nine of the total injured are German nationals, while one of them is Norwegian and the other is from Peru. Two wounded Germans are in critical condition.
