Turkey's PM Yıldırım, referring to Turkey's help in Aleppo, states, 'Turkey has provided the necessary support to those in need, and we will continue to rescue the innocent'

Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yıldırım touched on terrorism, the Russıan Ambassador's assassination, Turkey's efforts in helping the citizens of Aleppo evacuate and Turkey's constitution, as he delivered an address at a national province meeting.

“We will never allow terrorism to take grip of Turkey. The AK Party is the insurance of our democracy. AK Party upholds the safety of unity and togetherness. Our government has felt the pain of every citizen since our first day in office," said the Prime Minister.

No country safe from terrorism

The Prime Minister stressed that no country in the world can guarantee itself against terrorism. “The assassination of Russian ambassador to Turkey was followed by an attack in Germany. No country can say that they are safe from terrorism," said the Prime Minister, stressing that the attacks in Turkey do not only affect Turkey but rather have international consequences.

Aleppo evacuation

Approximately 40,000 Aleppans were evacuated from a city besieged by war. The people of Aleppo have been evacuated over a number of days, but the evacuations have not been easy. Convoys evacuating citizens were attacked numerous times as the ceasefires brokered by Russia and Turkey were violated time and time again by the Syrian government and pro-government militias.

“We will continue to wrap the wounds of the injured. The evacuation of Aleppo is continuing. Turkey has provided the necessary support to those in need, and we will continue to rescue the innocent. We are doing what our faith calls for," said the Prime Minister.

Turkish government continues to serve the people

“The Eurasian tunnel has already received five awards. This is a huge project. Turkey has shown the world what serving the people is,” said the Prime Minister.

Voting process streamlined

Prime Minister Binali also said that with the cooperation of Devlet Bahçeli, opposition leader of the MHP, AK Party had drafted a proposal with the signatures of 316 politicians to make changes to the constitution.

“Throughout AK Party's 14 years in power, we have successfully resolved our country's problems. The proposed changes are made up of 21 articles, 18 of which are permanent and 3 of which are temporary. We have also made 69 amendments,” said the Prime Minister.

“The government system is also changing. There is the President and the Council of Ministers. There is also the Assembly. Citizens will be able to vote in all government members on one day. Citizens will elect members of the municipal council and members of the Assembly in one go. The voting process has been streamlined,” said the Prime Minister
