Türkiye's Ministry of National Defense announced on Wednesday that a significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and life supplies were seized in the cave used by Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists in the Operation Claw-Lightning area.
According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, the search and sweep operations in the Claw-Lightning area resulted in the seizure of 1,290 rounds of 7.62mm machine gun ammunition, 3 hand grenades, 6 smoke grenades, 4 sniper rifle magazines, 1 sniper rifle scope, 1 82mm mortar sight attachment, 1 thermal umbrella and thermal bag, 1 camera, as well as various organizational documents and miscellaneous life supplies.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
