Turkish security forces remanded 26 Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) terrorists attempting to flee to Greece on Saturday.

Six cars were stopped for routine checks at the Doyran village on the Turkey-Greece border.

Among those remanded were teachers who had previously taught at FETÖ-linked schools, discharged police officers, expelled military school students, and ByLock users. ByLock is FETÖ’s encrypted smartphone messaging application.

The suspects who were remanded are: Yaşar K., Burak L., Ahmet B., Hasan Ç., Zafer K., Fatih Ç., Mehmet O., Fethi K., Kürşat K., İsmail D., Emre K., Nihat K., Hasan K., Cüneyt S., Yunus Emre K., Ahmet Berk A., Yusuf K., Sinan Ç., Atilla U., Atife K., Emine O., Neşe K., Emel K., Mülkiye A., and Hilal Ç., Sibel M.

FETÖ and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gülen orchestrated the defeated coup attempt of July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

FETÖ is also behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.
