"We shouldn't surrender to terrorism,” said a Colombian tourist on the explosion in Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square
Many tourists visiting Istanbul have said that they were determined not to leave the country earlier than scheduled due to the deadly explosion that rocked central Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square.
"We shouldn't surrender to terrorism. I won't change my plan and leave country because of the attack," said a Colombian tourist of the suicide bombing targeting the major tourist attraction that left 10 people dead and 15 others wounded.
"I would certainly extend my holiday, if I could. I am coming from a country which faces terrorist attacks often. This attack didn't discourage me," the tourist said.
"I will be in Istanbul until the weekend. I am calm," another tourist said. Nine of the victims were German tourists, according to Turkish officials.
A suicide bomber who entered the country through Syria for the attack is the responsible, according to Turkish officials.
