Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has announced that as a result of Wednesday's clash with Daesh in Al-Bab, the number of Turkish soldiers that were martyred has risen to 16.
Three other soldiers wounded in the attack are in critical condition.
Daesh terrorists attacked the Turkish Armed Forces stationed in Al-Bab, Syria.
The Euphrates Shield operation was launched between the Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army, with the aim to sweep Daesh from Syria, and has been running for 120 days.
The Euphrates Shield operation has neutralized 1,005 terrorists since its launch on August 24. A total of 621 buildings used by Daesh and 65 defense posts, as well as 11 vehicles loaded with bombs, have been destroyed.
