Turkey and the Turkey-backed moderate opposition group, the Free Syrian Army's (FSA) control over the northern Syrian town of al-Bab bears grave importance in impeding both PYD (Democratic Union Party) and Daesh terror organizations, as well as the Assad-Shiite alliance.
Not only will the liberation of al-Bab at the hands of Turkey and the FSA eliminate the PKK-affiliate PYD's long-sought desire to unify its so-called cantons along Turkish borders, the move would cause Daesh to lose its second stronghold after Raqqa.
By accomplishing this, the opposition, which is in dire straits fighting in Aleppo, would also receive more direct support from al-Bab, located near Aleppo.
Around a 1,900-sq-km territory and over 215 residential areas has been purged of terrorist elements up until now, within the context of the Operation Euphrates Shield.
Since the Turkey-FSA alliance began pushing Daesh to take al-Bab, Shiite terror organizations on the regime's side like Hezbollah, Harakat al-Nujaba and Badr Brigades from the south and the U.S.-backed PKK-PYD terror group from the east and southwest began threatening the operation and launching simultaneous attacks against Turkish troops.
The jet fighters, taken off from the regime's Nayrab Airbase, targeted Turkish positions and also at the same time, Turkish tanks were hit by PYD's TOW rockets, given by the U.S.A.
Meanwhile, the regime and the Shiite alliance approached the al-Bab's center as close as 7 km from the south, while PYD invaded lands up to 9 km away from al-Bab from the east.
PYD's strategy is to force Turkey's withdrawal by leading it into a stalemate in fierce clashes for al-Bab. Then, it aims to invade the city on the pretext of fighting against Daesh like it did in Ayn al-Arab (Kobane) and Tal Abyad, Arab-Turkmen populated cities.
The final target of the PYD terror group and its supporter is the declaration of a terror state along Turkey's border with Syria by guaranteeing their footholds in Manbij, Ayn al-Arab and Afrin.
To do so, the terror alliance uses terrorist and subversive tactics in Turkey to bar it from supporting moderate opposition and aiding suffering people.
