In an interview with Salman-run al-Riyad newspaper, senior PKK/PYD terrorist Salih Muslim warned against Turkey’s growing influence in the region

Saudi newspapers run by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman continue to publish reports that promote the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terror organization’s anti-Turkey propaganda. Among the Saudi newspapers administered by Salman himself are al-Riyad, Okaz and Asharq al-Awsat.

Riyadh’s pro-PKK stance comes after the Saudi administration previously pledged $1.5 billion to the terrorist organization for the alleged reconstruction of the Syrian city of Raqqa, which was razed to the ground by U.S. bombing.

Started in conjunction with the Astana process

The first part of al-Riyad newspaper’s anti-Turkey interview with senior PKK terrorist Salih Muslim was published on July 15, 2017, in which Turkey was portrayed as an “occupying force” in Syria.

The second part was published on July 26 to coincide with the Astana process. Muslim declared that the Turkey-Iran alliance will fail, and this was quoted prominently in Saudi media.

‘Turkey constitutes a threat’

In the interview, senior PKK/PYD terrorist Salih Muslim warned against Turkey’s growing influence in the region, which he described as a “threat” to the Middle East. He also warned that Saudi Arabia is at risk as a result of this development.

Muslim claimed in his interview that PKK-occupied regions have “democratic institutions and a fraternal environment.” He also thanked the Riyadh administration for the recent rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and the PKK.

Saudi newspaper staff interview PKK terrorists in Qandil

In the Dec. 11 issue of Saudi newspaper Okaz, which is run by the “de facto king” Muhammad Bin Salman and his advisor Saud al-Qahtani, an interview with senior PKK terrorist Rıza Altun was published.

The publication of the interview, which was conducted in Iraq’s Qandil region last October, coincided with the extraordinary Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Istanbul, which was held following the request of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to formulate a response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

In the scandalous interview, whose publishing was ordered by Salman, the PKK terror organization was treated as a “state”, and its terrorist commander was portrayed as a “foreign minister” in a bid by Riyadh to sabotage the OIC summit.
