Mayor of Bat Yam says more than 75 structures damaged in attack

The mayor of the Israeli city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv, said Sunday that 22 buildings will be demolished among more than 75 structures damaged by an Iranian missile strike.

Tzvika Brot told Israel's i24 News that he formed a committee to manage restoration of the residential area where the missiles fell.

Work will begin Monday to rebuild destroyed structures and demolish those requiring urgent removal, he said.

The strike comes after Israel launched an attack Friday on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, prompting Tehran to retaliate with ballistic missiles and drones, which have killed at least 14 Israelis and injured hundreds.
