At least 15 people were arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the PKK/KCK terror group in Turkey’s eastern province of Ağrı, security sources said on Wednesday.
Police squads rounded up the suspects, who were allegedly spreading terror propaganda, as part of an anti-terror operation after receiving a tip-off.
Separately, anti-terror teams launched a wide-range operation in 19 villages of southeastern Diyarbakir province to nab PKK terrorists, including senior terrorists and those linked to the terror group, according to the Diyarbakir governorship.
The operation also aims to destroy shelters and tools used by terrorists, the statement said.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people.
