Famous actor, best known for playing the lead role of Polat Alemdar in the popular TV series, had an operation on broken jaw at an Istanbul hospital
Necati Şaşmaz, a famous Turkish actor starring in the popular TV series, Valley of Wolves, was injured late Sunday when he lost the control the car he was driving during the shooting of the tv series.
Şaşmaz was taken to a private-run hospital, Medical Park, in Istanbul’s Göztepe district for treatment.
Medics diagnosed fractures on his jaw after taking X-ray. He was underwent a surgery for broken jaw while his co-workers were waiting for good news of the famous player.
“We have diagnosed two fractures on the jaw. So, we have screwed fractures and placed some plates to fix the jaw in an successfully operation,” said Dr. Ercan Cihandide, an plastic surgeon, as speaking to reporters after the operation which took nearly three hours.
“There is no medical complication which will prevent him from speaking. He is now in good condition. His treatment is still underway,” said Cihandide.
Şaşmaz, married and a father of one, plays the fictional character, Polat Alemdar in the TV series and its movie spin-off, “Valley of Wolves Iraq. The actor currently plays in Valley of Wolves –Ambush”, the follow up of the original series.
