Total of 38 terrorists have surrendered to Turkish forces since beginning of year

Two YPG/PKK terrorists surrendered to security forces in southeastern Turkey, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the ministry, the terrorists turned themselves in in Sanliurfa and Sirnak provinces after prolonged persuasion by Turkish forces.

They were recruited by the terror group 16 and 20 years ago.

One of the terrorists in his first testimony said: “Surrendering was the best decision; nobody should give their youth to the terror group.”

At least 38 terrorists have surrendered to Turkish forces since beginning of the year.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is the PKK's Syrian offshoot.
