As many as 22 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists have been killed while five Daesh terrorists captured in ongoing operations in four southeastern Turkish provinces.
One of the terrorists was killed in Mardin's Nusaybin town, while five others in Şırnak as the total number of neutralized PKK terrorists reached 748 in two regions.
Also, 16 terrorists were killed in the Çukurca town of the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari.
Meanwhile, five Daesh terrorists were captured in another southeastern Turkish province, Gaziantep, after sneaking into Turkey from Syria illegally.
The Turkish military also declared that 21 handmade explosives were destroyed in Nusaybin and eight more in Şırnak, which raised the total number of the destroyed explosives to 925 in Nusaybin and 962 in Şırnak.
During the operation in Şırnak, three rocket launcher ammunitions, four hand grenades, 60 rocket Bixi machine guns, and 60 Kalashnikov rifle cartridges were seized, while 55 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, a 30-meter-long power cable, 20 liters of diesel fuel and two kitchen tubes were seized in Eruh town of Siirt.
Turkey has been fighting against terrorist groups, particularly the PKK and Daesh, in an effort to neutralize threats that specifically target the country.
More than 5,000 PKK terrorists have been neutralized both in Turkey and Northern Iraq while around Daesh 2,000 terrorists were killed in Syria and Iraq, according to the recent official Turkish figures.
