Turkish actor Cavit Çetin Güner, who played Dogan Alp in the smash hit historical drama "Resurrection: Ertugrul," thanked Pakistani actress Nimra Khan for welcoming him to the country.
The Pakistani star had posted a photo of the 34-year-old Turkish actor in her Instagram story with the caption “Welcome to Pakistan.”
Güner then shared the same photo in his story, thanking the Khawab Tabeer star for the warm welcome.
Arriving in Islamabad from Istanbul a few days ago, Güner is currently touring Pakistan where he met with his devoted fans in the country, which he earlier referred to as his “second home.”
The Ertugrul actor had apologized to disappointed fans for canceling his planned visit to Pakistan in late August after the entire travel plan, which was organized by a Pakistani lawyer living in Turkey, turned out to be a scam.
Engin Altan Duzyatan, the star of the popular Turkish TV series, is also set to visit the country in October, according to reports.
The historic Turkish blockbuster earned heroic status in Pakistan and Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir after Pakistan Television telecast a version dubbed in Urdu.
Often described as a Turkish Game of Thrones, the series tells the story before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire in 13th century Anatolia. It illustrates the struggle of Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of the empire's first leader.
