Accusing FedEx of violating Chinese laws, China hit back at the American cargo giant’s claim that it diverted Huawei packages to the U.S. by mistake, saying that in fact its actions harmed the tech company’s interests, Chinese state-run Xinhua reported on Friday.
According to a nearly two-month investigation by China, FedEx held up more than 100 Huawei packages set to enter China, the state media said.
Xinhua said authorities carried out a thorough and objective investigation.
Huawei, the world’s largest telecom equipment producer, accused FedEx in May of rerouting Huawei packages to the U.S. without authorization.
