A Syrian moderate opposition commander has said that the United States (U.S.) had deliberately let Daesh terrorists fight against the opposition, saying that the country didn't take a step against the Daesh, despite knowing the coordinates of the terrorists who were proceeding in the direction of the Turkish province of Kilis from Savran town of the northern Syrian province of Aleppo.
The commander, speaking to Turkish Yeni Şafak daily newspaper, said they shared all the location information of the Daesh terrorists with Washington with the expection that the U.S. would pound the terrorist target in northern Syria.
"If they (U.S. officials) were honestly supporting us, it was impossible not being able to hit the terrorist target in 70 kilometers," he said.
"We asked a colonel why they didn't take a step against Daesh, and he said they cannot provide an explanation and they had to act so. Some of our sources then told us that some people working for the U.S. were executed later that day," the commander said.
"If the U.S. had hit the Daesh target, then we wouldn't have lost control of the five villages, including the strategic Dudyan and Kafargan villages," he added.
"The U.S. has been helping the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)- affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) to proceed, while it has never been honest with the moderate opposition of Syria and wastes the groups' time," the commander said.
"The U.S. has always been supporting PKK/PYD instead of the Free Syrian Army," he added.
Aleppo is one of the critical areas suffering immensely from clashes between the moderate opposition and the Iranian- and Russian-backed Assad regime.
The region is especially significant, due to only being 50 kilometers from Turkish territory.
