Economic partnership deal includes joint investment fund to support Ukraine's reconstruction, partially financed through revenues from natural resource extraction
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday signed a bill ratifying an economic partnership deal between his country and the US into law.
The status of the bill, which was posted on the online portal of the Verkhovna Rada, the parliament, was updated, saying that it was returned with Zelenskyy's signature.
Parliament ratified the agreement on May 8. Zelenskyy described it as “a historic document that opens a new stage in our relations.”
The deal, signed on April 30 in Washington, DC, includes a joint investment fund to support Ukraine's reconstruction.
It will be partially financed through revenues from natural resource extraction.
