A total of 59 positions of the Daesh and Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organizations in northern Syria have been targeted by a Turkish air and ground offensive, a military statement said on Sunday.
Eight Daesh positions and 51 of the Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) Syrian offshoot PYD targets were hit by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) as a part of the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield, which ws launched on Aug. 25 to clear the Turkish border from terrorists.
The TSK said that Turkish Air Forces jets have destroyed four buildings used as military headquarters by Daesh in the Jubban and Burj villages in the north of the Aleppo countryside.
On the other hand, the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters continue to advance toward thr Sheikh Isa, Harbul and Maarrat Umm Hawsh areas despite strong resistance from PYD terrorists.
At least four FSA fighters were martyred and 20 others were injured in clash while three PYD/PKK terrorists were also killed.
The Turkey-backed forces launched the offensive to retake PYD-held areas on Friday after the terror group attacked FSA positions with mortar shells martyring two FSA fighters.
The operation Euphrates Shield, which was launched by the Turkey-backed Syrian opposition's FSA fighters on Aug 24, aimed to secure and make Turkey's border line safe from terror groups like Daesh and PYD-YPG.
