The Turkish army destroyed 11 PKK positions in airstrikes against the terrorist group in northern Iraq, the military said late Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, fighter jets carried out the airstrikes in the Qandil region on Friday between 6.58-7.55 pm (1558-1655GMT).
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
Since then, more than 300 civilians, including women and children, and nearly 800 security personnel have been martyred. Around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended.
