Precast kiosks are located near London Eye, Europe's tallest Ferris wheel, which draws nearly 3M visitors each year, says company's UK coordinator
Turkish manufacturing company Karmod installed its security kiosks on London's historic Belvedere Street, the company announced Friday.
The kiosks, built using precast technology, were chosen for their ability to blend seamlessly with the area's architectural style, said Muhammed Karacobanoglu, Karmod's UK coordinator.
“Our precast kiosks are located near the London Eye, Europe's tallest Ferris wheel, which draws nearly 3 million visitors each year,” Karacobanoglu said.
“As a Turkish brand, we are proud to contribute to the preservation of the area's historic and architectural character with our specially designed security structures,” he said.
The three kiosks, each measuring 150x270 centimeters, are being used at newly established parking areas along Belvedere Street to ease traffic congestion.
Karacobanoglu said the structures are both functional and visually compatible with their surroundings.
“The precast kiosks will help regulate traffic in this busy tourist area while maintaining the city's aesthetic appeal,” he said.
“Our ready-made production method provides security personnel with comfortable, modern workspaces,” he added.
Karacobanoglu also noted increasing demand for Karmod's precast security structures in the UK, France and Germany.
“Our kiosks are known for their compatibility with the architectural identity of historic streets and squares,” he said. "They are available in sizes of 150x150 centimeters and 150x270 centimeters, and we can also produce them with bulletproof armored features. These ready-made structures are easily transported by road and can be operational immediately upon placement."
