As Turkey continues its intensive efforts to defeat terrorist organizations both inside and outside its borders, the U.S. continues to deploy fresh weapons to the Syrian affiliate of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terror group, the YPG/PYD, in northern Syria.
Video footage proves that trucks loaded with weapons have just recently arrived in Syria's al-Hasakah.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that over 1,200 shipments and trucks entered Syria in August alone.
The U.S. State Department omitted the PYD/YPG terrorist group from its 2017 Country Reports on Terrorism, released on Wednesday.
The Syrian affiliate of the PKK terrorist group YPG is the armed wing of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and currently holds an estimated 28 percent of Syrian territory.
Washington has claimed the YPG is a “reliable ally” in the fight against Daesh, while Ankara has pointed to its status as an offshoot of the PKK, a recognized terrorist group which has taken some 40,000 lives in Turkey.
