The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) inaugurated the Laparoscopy Room at the Pulmonology Department of Osh Regional Hospital in Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony was attended by TİKA Central Asia and Caucasus Department Head Ali Özgün Öztürk, Osh Regional Hospital Director Talantbek Arstankulov, Honorary Consul of Türkiye in Osh, and Representative of the Kyrgyzstan Ahiska Turks Association Aslan Beyogliyev, TİKA Bishkek Coordinator Osman Usta, and Baltagul Nurunbetov, Representative of the Kyrgyz People's Assembly in Osh, as well as hospital executives and department doctors.
Öztürk, TİKA's Central Asia and Caucasus Department Head, emphasized TİKA's contribution to Kyrgyzstan's development projects, with over a thousand projects implemented from 1992 to the present day, particularly in the healthcare sector. He cited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Polyclinic in Osh, and the ambulances provided to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health as examples of successful projects. Öztürk also underlined that the Laparoscopy Room in Osh Regional Hospital has contributed to the development of Kyrgyzstan's healthcare infrastructure.

In his speech, Director Arstankulov highlighted the critical role of Osh Regional Hospital in serving the entire southern region of Kyrgyzstan, with a capacity of 952 beds and over 1,500 employees. The Laparoscopy Room provided by TİKA enables the hospital to perform surgeries that were not previously possible, and the hospital's infrastructure has significantly improved, he added. Arstankulov expressed his gratitude to TİKA for its support of the Kyrgyz people.
