Operations targeting the PKK and Daesh were conducted in Turkey’s Adıyaman
The Provincial Police Department Anti-Terror Branch forces conducted operations at the addresses within the scope of their investigations in Turkey’s southeastern city Adıyaman and its Besni district.
Police supported by a special operations team arrested suspects R.A and H.Ç in the city center, and M.K was arrested in Adıyaman’s Besni district.
The Provincial Police Department Anti-Terror Branch conducted another operation against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) / Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) settlement in the city center.
Suspects M.A and M.Ö were arrested on the charges for being connected to the terror organization.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States. The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
Many documents of the PKK and Daesh terrorist organizations were found during a search the suspect’s homes.
Suspects, following a check-up, were taken to the police department.
