The violence came amid a nationwide cease-fire agreed from midnight (2200GMT) Dec. 30, after a deal was brokered with Turkey, Russia and the Syrian regime.
Attacks were also recorded in Daraa province's Old Customs area and Yadudah village as well as Barada Valley (west of the capital, Damascus) in Rif Dimashq province.
According to the sources, regime forces attacked Syrian opposition groups using mortars and artillery.
