Regime forces were killed in Jobar district of Damascus
At least 20 regime soldiers were killed in the Syrian capital Damascus by opposition forces from the al-Rahman Legion, according to the group's spokesman.
The group established an ambush in the Jobar district of eastern Damascus, Wael Ulwan, the spokesman told Anadolu Agency.
The group allegedly exchanged fire with Bashar al-Assad regime forces and lured them into the area where they had previously planted explosives.
The blasts killed at least 20 soldiers and injured others, still according to the group.
These allegations could not be independently verified.
The Assad regime has been aiming to take Jobar, the last district under opposition’s control in eastern Damascus.
