Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday arrived in China on a two-day official visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
During his stay in Beijing, Lavrov will hold meetings with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi to discuss a variety of issues, including bilateral relations, war in Ukraine, the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, and joint cooperation in international organizations, such as the UN and the G20.
China has become Russia's fastest-growing trade partner, since the latter is hit with sanctions that closed its access to Western markets and finances, after the start of war in Ukraine.
Lavrov last visited Beijing in October last year.
