Qatar’s emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held talks on Tuesday with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the capital Doha.
The talks between the two leaders tackled means of bolstering bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, energy and agriculture, the official QNA news agency reported.
Regional and international developments also figured high during the discussions, it said.
Following the talks, the two sides signed five agreements and a memorandum of understanding to enhance bilateral cooperation in different fields.
Poroshenko arrived in Doha on Monday from neighboring Kuwait.
In April, Qatar and Ukraine will mark the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
