The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorist organization attacked civilians in al-Bab usig Grad missiles and injured eight people.
The PKK/PYD terrorist organization hit a village in the west of Aleppo's al-Bab district with “Grad missiles," according to security sources in the district. Eight civilians including children were injured in the attack and taken to hospitals in al-Bab. The attack caused material damage.
The PKK/PYD terrorist organization often attacks opposition-held Azaz and Mare’ towns with howitzers and Grad missiles. Turkish Armed Forces-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) on Feb. 23 liberated al-Bab from Daesh within the scope of Operation Euphrates Shield.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and United States.
The PKK has been conducting armed violence in the southeastern part of Turkey since 1984. More than 40,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the three-decade long conflict.
