Leaders discuss digitalization role in strengthening cooperation between Russia and Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries, with particular emphasis on global economic transformation

The economic sessions of the "Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2025" concluded on Friday with a high-level summit titled "Digitalization: A New Reality and Additional Opportunities for Expanding Cooperation."The final economic session of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," for which Anadolu, Türkiye's global news agency, was the global communication partner, took place in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Federation's Republic of Tatarstan.

The plenary session was moderated by Abdelilah Belatik, Secretary General of the General Council of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI).

Distinguished attendees included Tatarstan President Anwar bin Ibrahim, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, People's Council of Turkmenistan Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Azerbaijan Deputy Premier Shakhin Mustafayev, and Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev.During the session, the leaders discussed the role of digitalization in strengthening cooperation between Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries, with a particular emphasis on global economic transformation.
