Iran and the Russia-supported Bashar al-Assad regime of Syria have been intensively launching attacks directed at east Aleppo against the moderate opposition forces. Opposition fighters had to withdraw from a 5- –square-kilometer area, as the regime attacks entered their 19th day.
The Free Syrian Army Commander Muhammed Sheikh said that the FSA soldiers had to leave Qarram Tarrab, Jazmethi, Halvanniyah and Tariq al-Bab villages.
The opposition is currently overseeing 20 kilometers; they controlled 45 kilometers before the intensive attacks started.
Due to the heightened attacks, more than 50 civilians were killed in the last 20 days, while thousands of civilians have become stuck in a 25-squarekilometer area.
Only on Sunday, 68 people lost their lives in Aleppo and Idlib, while more than 100 were wounded.
On Sunday, regime warplanes attacked a motorcycle market that concluded with 27 civilians casualties. Also, in another market place in Kafr Nabl village, 26 people were killed.
Other casualties were reported to be in Mughir, Suqqari and Kadi Asker villages.
Around 300,000 civilians residing in Aleppo are facing death threats, due to the airstrikes targeting the opposition-controlled neighborhoods of the city.
However, more than 10 percent of the total residents are now facing the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) threats, as they remained in the parts that the terrorist organization occupied.
Russia and the Assad regime are known for carrying out attacks on Aleppo, the Syrian province located 50 kilometers from Turkey, with barrel and phosphorus bombs.
Despite the Syrian regime's denials, it was proved more than once by the independent commissions that Assad has been using chemical weapons since 2013.
The civil war in Syria has killed more than 250,000 people, according to the United States; however the Syrian Center for Policy Research, has put the total death toll from conflict at more than 470,000.
