Hanford nuclear plant workers were told to "take cover" following an incident with plutonium and uranium tunnels.
The alert was issued via text message, which told employees to avoid “eating or drinking until further notice."
The site is a decommissioned nuclear production complex operated by the U.S. government on the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Washington.
