Egypt's Sisi supports FETÖ terror group

Members of the pro-Gülen terrorist organization are being supported by Egypt's coup leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as his media is hosting senior members of the Gülenist terrorist organization.

FETÖ, also known as the parallel state structure (PDY), is an illegal terrorist organization in Turkey that aimed to topple Turkey's elected government though a civil coup attempt and blackmailing Turkey's top officials.

Turkey's Security Council declared the organization the largest threat to the Turkish state while, Turkey's judiciary issued arrest warrants for almost all high-level members of the terrorist organization.

Despite Turkey's serious concern about the activities of the members of FETÖ terror group, Egypt's coup leader welcomed them with red-carpet treatment.

Pro-Sisi TV channel el-Beled announced that Sisi would continue hosting a key member of FETÖ in upcoming days. The channel's programmer, Ahmed Mousa, hosted a FETÖ media man who insulted Turkey and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Mousa, who was known for his unbounded support for coup leader Sisi, invited Turgut Karamehmetoğlu, the former Cairo representative of pro-Gülenist Cihan News Agency, to Egypt.

In early March, an Istanbul court appointed trustees for the Cihan News Agency after finding illegal activities inside the media group.

Karamehmetoğlu insulted Turkey and prominent figures in the country and the channel allowed him to continue his hideous verbal attacks.

He not only insulted the President of Turkey who was elected in popular vote, but other prominent figures like Hayrettin Karaman, a professor of Islamic law and journalist.

El-Beled aslo announced that it would continue to host pro-Gülentist figures in future programs that seemed to continue to allow gross insults towards Turkey and the Turkish state by hosting its enemies.

Known also by the initials FETÖ/PDY, the parallel state designates a clandestine group of Turkish bureaucrats and senior officials, allegedly embedded in the country's institutions, including the judiciary and the police.
