China on Wednesday launched two new remote-sensing satellites into space.
Indigenously-built Long March-2C carrier rocket carried the satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China’s Gansu province, public broadcaster CGTN reported.
The satellites belonged to the Yaogan-32 family. It was the 394th mission of the Long March rocket series.
Meanwhile, China’s two scientists won the country’s top science award on Wednesday, CGTN reported.
Gu Songfen, China’s aircraft designer, and Wang Dazhong, a popular nuclear expert, won the award for their “outstanding contributions to scientific and technological innovation.”
