Syrian security sources have announced that the evacuations have stopped

At least four explosions at the departure point of the Aleppo evacuation have occurred.

Sources in the region have reported that Shiite militias fired on the bus convoys, and blocked a road being used to evacuate fighters and civilians from Aleppo to the opposition-held city of Idlib.

Situated near the border with Turkey, Idlib is located some 65 kilometers from Aleppo.

A World Health Organization (WHO) official in Aleppo says that WHO, ICRC and the Red Crescent were told to leave the area with buses and ambulances.

Elizabeth Hoff, WHO representative in Syria, said that by 7 a.m. local time, 194 evacuated patients had arrived in eight "overwhelmed" hospitals in government-held western Aleppo, Idlib and Turkey, according to the latest WHO figures.

War-wounded patients had brain and eye damage, while others are being treated for chronic diseases including diabetes, Hoff said.

Hospitals in western Aleppo are reportedly overwhelmed with patients, some with brain or eye damage, missing limbs and chronic diseases.

Three convoys have reached Idlib

The evacuations that started yesterday continued overnight. Three convoys safely reached Idlib, evacuating approximately 7,500 people.

The Syrian regime and Iran-backed terrorist groups have sabotaged the evacuation attempts of civilians in Aleppo time after time.
