Forty-four Daesh terrorists are killed, and 117 terrorists wounded in Syria's al-Bab, in the Euphrates Shield operation
The Turkish Armed Forces has said that 44 Daesh terrorists were killed and 117 terrorists were wounded in the ongoing Euphrates Shield operation that is being conducted to sweep the Daesh and Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)- affiliated terrorists in northern Syria with the support of Turkey.
Also, a bomb-laden vehicle was destroyed during the operation.
The operation continues in al-Bab as Turkish soldiers with Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters entered the city center last week.
Since last week, more Turkish brigades from different provinces are being sent in al-Bab as reinforcement.
With the recent arrivals, around a thousand Turkish soldiers, and more Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters arrived in al-Bab from Aleppo.
The number of the additional FSA fighters is expected to reach 2000 with the arrivals.
The Euphrates Shield operation was launched between the Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army, with the aim to sweep Daesh from Syria, and has been running for 124 days.
Also, a 2,100-square-kilometer area has been cleared of terrorists so far.
