The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has said that 30 Daesh terrorists were neutralized, with 51 terrorist targets destroyed in al-Bab, Syria on the 174th day of Operation Euphrates Shield, the ongoing military effort to eradicate terrorists from the area of northern Syria closest to the Turkish border which began on August 24, 2016.
The updated information represents figures released by officials at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, according to TAF.
The Turkish military also said it has been conducting the operation amid high security measures to avoid any civilian casualties.
Operation Euphrates Shield, led by Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces and backed by Turkish artillery and air power, was launched to eliminate the terror threat along the Turkish border and improve security.
The military said 229 residential areas and 1,910 square kilometers (725 square miles) of land had been secured along northern Syria's Azaz to Jarabulus corridor that runs parallel to the Turkish frontier.
