Over a hundred Daesh and PKK/PYD targets are pounded in Syria on the 70th day of Euphrates Shield operation in northern Syria
The Turkish military has stated on Saturday that as many as 120 Daesh and 2 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) targets were hit on the 70th day of the Euphrates Shield operation being conducted in northern Syria.
"Due to the strong resistance of Daesh terrorists, the attack initiated to regain Shudud, Ablah, Al-Shuaib and Shader neighborhoods couldn't succeed yet," the Turkish military said.
"However, there are no losses in the 170 neighborhoods that have already been taken from the Daesh terrorists," the statement added.
On the same day also, 12 Syrian opposition fighters were wounded during the clashes.
Also, fighters destroyed more explosives that were planted by the Daesh terrorists.
Adding the recently destroyed mines and explosives, 33 mines and 1379 explosives have been destroyed so far.
The Euphrates Shield operation was initiated to sweep the terrorist elements from northern Syria, as a support to the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
