English football club Middlesbrough's playmaker Gaston Ramirez was left with a shin injury after a dangerous tackle which earned Brighton's Dale Stephens a red card. Stephens appeared to make contact with the ball before catching Ramirez's shin, forcing the Uruguayan to go to ground visibly in pain. Ramirez's injury was discovered to be worse after he took off his sock. He was taken out of the game on a stretcher.
