Turkish football team beat Denmark 2-1 in a friendly match before the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match against Iceland
Turkish National football team defeated Denmark 2-1 in a friendly match in Denmark's third biggest city, Odense on Wednesday night.
Denmark took the lead against Turkey in the 34th minute of play when former Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger converted the penalty successfully at TRE-FOR Park stadium, 1-0.
Away team Turkey managed to equalize the levels in 55th minute when Besiktas midfielder Olcay Sahan found the net after receiving a through ball from Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz, 1-1.
In stoppage time Ozan Tufan - capped 4 times so far for Turkey - scored the leading goal. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder smashed a vicious strike outside the penalty box, 2-1. This goal clinched victory for Turkey coming back from 1-0 defeat.
The friendly against Denmark served Turkey as preparation for the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group A match to be played against another Nordic opponents Iceland on September 9.
