Curry scores 36, Thompson adds 26 as Golden State beat Portland 116-94 in Game 1

Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 116-94 on Tuesday night to take Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals series.

Stephen Curry scored 36 points, including 9/15 from the three-point line to secure the victory for his team.

Another sharpshooter, Klay Thompson added 26 points, while Draymond Green had an all-around performance with 12 points 10 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Warriors shot 51.5 percent from the three-point line, had 17 hit out of 33 attempts.

Despite superstar Kevin Durant sit out due to a calf injury he suffered in Game 5 of the series against the Houston Rockets, the Warriors got the job done anyway.



- New Orleans Pelicans win No.1 in NBA Draft

The 2019 NBA Draft Lottery was held at the Hilton Chicago on Tuesday evening, to determine the order of the teams that did not make the playoffs to choose the declared young players for the upcoming season.

The New Orleans Pelicans won the lottery and they will have the first overall pick.

The Los Angeles Lakers, despite having only 9.4 percent chance to land in the first 4, will choose the No. 4 pick in the draft.

The New York Knicks, despite having the strongest chance to win the draft, ended up at 3rd spot.
