Furkan Korkmaz scores 34 points, shoots 7/9 from three point line to give Sixers 32nd win of season
Turkish international Furkan Korkmaz scored a career-high 34 points on Friday night to help Sixers beat Grizzlies 119-107 at Wells Fargo Center in the NBA.
Korkmaz, coming off the bench, shot 7/9 from the three-point line, added 6 rebounds and 4 assists for an all-around game to go along with his career night.
After three quarters, the score was 97-66 in favor of the Sixers, when Korkmaz had already 29 points.
All-Star Ben Simmons scored 22 points and dished out 10 assists in the win, while Tobias Harris chipped in with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the 76ers.
For the Grizzlies, center Jonas Valanciunas scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while rookie Ja Morant played with 15 points and 6 assists.
The newly acquired Grizzlies players Jordan Bell, Gorgui Dieng, Dion Waiters and Justise Winslow did not play.
The Eastern Conference powerhouse Sixers improved to 32 wins and 21 losses, while the playoff hopefuls Grizzlies were dropped to 26 wins and 26 losses in the Western Conference in the regular season.
