Former Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych on list

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed three decrees Thursday sanctioning 76 individuals and 81 entities, according to the presidential website.

The decrees implement a 10-year mostly indefinite sanction against figures accused of aiding Russia's war efforts or spreading propaganda.

One decree names nine people, including former Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych.

Seven of the nine “hold Ukrainian citizenship. They have aligned themselves with Russian state propaganda, justify the war, and conduct active information operations that harm Ukraine and our defense in this war,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.

Another package targets six individuals and 36 firms, including Ukrainian politician Oleksiy Azarov and the CEO of Russian energy company, Rosatom -- Alexey Likhachev.

It includes titanium suppliers, metallurgical plants, and energy companies.

“Some of them are already under sanctions imposed by our partners,” said Zelenskyy. “Overall, we are synchronizing our sanctions pressure with the world's sanctions against Russia for the war.”

The last “concerns 106 entities that actively support the presence of the occupier in our Crimea, and in the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine,” said Zelenskyy.

“I have instructed the preparation of the next sanctions steps as well,” he added.
